Annual General Meeting 2008
Cracks in the Concrete is a weekend-long event of teach-in/learn-in
workshops and discussions that aims to inspire, strengthen and connect
people and communities interested in fighting poverty. If you’re looking
to gain new skills for community work or activism, learn about
poverty-related issues, meet new people, organize actions or draw others
into the work you’re already doing, Cracks in the Concrete is the place to
be!
For all the sistahs out there, or anyone who feels 19-30ish at heart, we are going to the Imax on Tuesday night. The 7pm show is PULSE: A STOMP ODYSSEY, an exploration of the sights and sounds of continents and cultures.
M21 is the U.N. International day for the elimination of racial discrimination. We had an event at UVic.
We’re excited that The Sorority, a hip hop supergroup, is coming to the West Coast on May 3rd. We know these folks via friends and allies in Toronto. And I’m really looking forward to seeing them! If you aren’t familiar with them, check out their Instagram, it’s fire, @TheSororityYYZ! May 3rd, 2018 Victoria Event Centre 7:00pm…
The next Intergenerational event is going to be Wednesday February 24th at 6:30pm (not Feb 17th as it is reading week). This will be a casual potluck bonding time at Sarah’s house, in Vic West.
